Audio (AXIS 210A/211A only)

The AXIS 210A/211A can transmit audio to other clients using an external microphone and can play audio received from other clients by attaching a speaker. The Setup page for the AXIS 210A/211A has an additional menu item called Audio, which allows different audio configurations to be set up, e.g. full duplex, half duplex and simplex.

Note: The speaker attached to the audio output of the AXIS 210A/211A must have a built-in amplifier, e.g. some PC speakers.

Audio Settings

This section describes how to configure the basic audio settings for the AXIS 210A/211A, e.g. set the communication mode and adjust the sound levels in the microphone and speaker connected to the camera.

Enable Audio

Check this box to enable audio in the AXIS 210A/211A.

Audio Channels

There are two mono audio channels between the AXIS 210A/211A and other clients, one for receiving audio and one for transmitting audio. Each audio channel can be turned on or off, which means that there are four audio mode options that can be used.
