ISSUE

Unit discharges a musty odor

Machine running hot;

Burning odor noticed.

Unusual tone, noise or vibration.

The Power Nozzle motor is not running.

The Power Nozzle motor is running but brush is not revolving.

The Power Nozzle brush is stopped and cannot be rotated by hand.

The Power Nozzle is not picking up debris well.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Water basin not cleaned or dumped after use.

Separator clogged or dirty.

Damp HEPA Neutralizer.

Rainbow stored on water basin.

Plugged hose, wand, attachment or Power Nozzle.

Rainbow not seated on water basin properly.

Separator clogged or dirty.

Water level is above center dome in water basin.

Trigger Lock Switch is in the off position.

Handle switch is not activated.

Wands not connected.

Wand connections not made

Automatic resetting motor protector has tripped.

Broken belt.

Object lodged in brush chamber.

Bearing worn out.

Clogged air chamber.

Clogged wands or hose.

Bristles not in contact with carpet.

Edge cleaning brushes are worn.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION

Clean water basin and use Deodorant Air Freshener while cleaning.

Remove separator and clean. (See page 10)

Remove HEPA Neutralizer and clean or replace. (See page 19)

Do not store Rainbow on water basin.

Remove obstruction from clogged area.

Ensure Rainbow is properly seated and latched onto water basin.

Remove separator and clean.

Empty water basin and refill to correct level.

Move the switch to the middle position and depress trigger.

Must squeeze actuator in electrified hose handle.

Make sure wands are properly connected.

Make sure wands are seated properly.

Turn Rainbow off. Leave off for 30 second. Turn Rainbow back on.

Disconnect power; Remove sole plate; Make sure brush rotates freely; Replace belt.

Disconnect power; Remove sole plate; Remove foreign object; Make sure brush rotates freely.

Contact an Authorized Rainbow Distributor or Service Center for a replacement brush.

Disconnect power; Remove sole plate; Clear out entire air chamber;

Disconnect power; Remove obstruction; Connect to Rainbow; Make sure air is flowing freely through hose.

Make sure sole plate is completely in position before latching; Replace brush if bristles are worn too short.

Contact an Authorized Rainbow Distributor or Service Center for a replacement edge brushes.
