Care and Storage of SV-60 Steam Vacuum:

CAUTION

Always be sure that your Steam Vacuum is UNPLUGGED from the wall receptacle prior to cleaning or before emptying the water tank.

IMPORTANT

DO NOT immerse your SV-60 Steam Vacuum in water or any other liquid.

•Always empty any water from the water tank once you have finished using your Steam Vacuum.

•Prepare to store you Steam Vacuum by looping the power cord around the pivoting cord wraps found on the handle/pole and snap the plug securely onto the cord when complete. (Fig 28)

•To clean the body of the SV-60 Steam Vacuum, wipe it down with a damp (not wet) soft cloth.

•Store the unit upright in a protected dry area, standing it on the Resting Mat.

Mineral Deposits:

One problem with a steamer appliance is the mineral deposits caused by the high mineral content in many municipal water supplies. Mineral residue inside of the internal pipes and heater can cause intermittent steaming or, in some cases, no steam at all.

To reduce or eliminate the occurrence of mineral deposits, we recommend the use of de-mineralized or distilled water in the unit. However, regular tap water may be used.

!CAUTION

Keep the Lime & Scale Remover in a cool place. Keep out of the reach of children. DO NOT injest.

The HAAN® Lime & Scale Remover is only for use with the HAAN® Steam Cleaners.

If regular tap water is used, we recommend the use of a ‘Lime & Scale Remover’ every 2 or 3 months to ensure optimum functionality from your HAAN Steam Vacuum. 12 packets come included with each new SV-60 Steam Vacuum and you can purchase these directly from the HAAN® web site (see web address below).

How to use the Lime & Scale Remover:

1.Pour 1 cup of water (8 oz.) into the water tank.

2.Add the Lime & Scale Remover to the water in the tank.

3.Lift the unit and gently shake the water tank to dissolve the remover.

4.Use the Lime & Scale Remover once a month to ensure optimum function from your HAAN® Steam Vacuum.
