Before going to the next step, locate the two sets of canopy ring tabs that are on the top edge of the canopy and the two sets of canopy tab holders found at the top of the fan body near the ceiling.
To install the canopy ring, lift the canopy, then rotate clockwise until the tabs are held in place by the tab holders, locking the canopy ring into place.
To check your work, make sure there is an even gap all the way around between the ceiling and the canopy ring.
