Maintaining a Charge in the Battery
This charger can be used two different ways. One way is with the battery installed in the unit . The other is with the battery out of the unit sitting on a counter or shelf next to an outlet. Once the battery is connected to the charger and the charger is plugged into an outlet, the charge light will glow to indicate that the battery is charging.

NOTE: The power switch should be in off position while battery is charging.
NOTE: If the battery is charged while in the unit, be certain to disconnect charger plug from battery before lowering handle of cleaner.
NOTE: Cleaner will not run when charger is connected and battery is in the unit.
NOTE: Charger light indicates power is going to battery.
It is all right to leave the cleaner on constant charge so it is always ready to use, but not necessary. Unplug only if it will not be in use for several weeks at a time.
