6.3 Simplified Structural-Rating Guidelines

The simplified structural-rating guidelines for EVA loudspeakers are shown in Figure 19. These guidelines were determined based on the:

1.Vertical elevation possible with EVA-SG and EVA-EG grids.

2.Total weight of all enclosures in the array plus accessories, cabling and rigging.

3.Angled forces acting on rigging components and enclosures.

The resulting analysis has shown that any combination of EVA 6° vertical modules (EVA-2082S/906 and EVA-2082S/126) and EVA 20° vertical modules (EVA-2082S/920 and EVA-2082S/1220) may be rigged together at any vertical angle available from either a single EVA-SG or EVA-EG grid at the top of the array using one or two spreader bars or an EVA-SG grid and spreader bar at both the top and bottom of the array as long as the total column weight of suspended loudspeakers, accessories and cabling does not exceed 720 lb (327 kg) and the angles of the suspension components are within the limits defined in Figures 20 through 22.
