Selecting Listening Modes Using the Sleep Timer

This system has a built in Dolby Pro Logic decoder. It can transform the stereo or PCM signal to Dolby Surround signal so that you can enjoy surround sound from normal 2 channel stereo broadcast and recordings.

1Press the SLEEP button while the power is on.

Each time you press SLEEP, the time changes as shown below.

When listening to a CD, the radio, or external source, press the LISTENING button repeatedly to select the following listening modes cyclically.

Pro Logic Normal Pro Logic Phantom Pro Logic Wide

3-Stereo Normal 3-Stereo Wide Stereo

The relevant indicators appear on the front panel display.

Notes:

Before you press the listening button please lower the volume level to reduce the possibility of speaker damage.

If you are listening to a mono broadcast or recording select the Stereo setting for best results. Do not select one of the surround sound settings.

When you have specified the time, the "Sleep" indicator lights on the front panel display.

2If you want to reset the time, you can press SLEEP button again to change it.

3You can check the time remaining before the system turns off.

Press SLEEP, the remaining time appears on the front panel display for a few seconds.

4To cancel SLEEP, press SLEEP button until it reaches 00 (OFF).
