Versatile Input & Output Terminals

Digital Optical Output

The AVR-683 provides 1 digital optical output terminal where you can connect a CD recorder or other digital recording device to make high-quality digital recordings directly from digital sources such as CD.

• Front Panel Inputs

The AVR-683's front panel includes 1 set of video audio and digital optical input terminals where you can easily connect your video camera, game machine or other video or pure audio device.

Front A/B Speaker Terminals

Two sets of speaker terminals are provided for the main (left and right) speakers. This allows the use of a second pair of stereo speakers in another room in the home.

High-grade Speaker Terminals (for speakers A):

Large binding post speaker terminals has been provided for all 5 channels (Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R) to accommodate thick, high-grade speaker cables and banana plugs.

Personal Memory Plus, for Easy Operation

The AVR-683 includes the Personal Memory Plus function that automatically remembers the surround mode you last used for each program source, so that you do not need to select the mode again for that program.

Multi-Function Preset Memory Remote Controller

The supplied system remote controller features a large selection of remote control codes to operate other components in your home theater system, including codes for selected DENON models, along with remote control codes from other manufacturers. The most frequently used buttons are laid out separately for TV, VCR and DVD, for maximum ease-of-use.

Acclaimed Customization Feature

As with all of DENON’s high-grade A/V receiver, the AVR-683 lets you adjust delay times and other parameters so that you can customize the performance of the AVR-683 to suit your own home theater and enhance operating ease. The adjustments are easy to make via a dialog format on the fluorescent display on the front panel. These customized features are then stored, for each source input and surround mode, in Personal Memory Plus so constant readjustments are not required.
