Ifyourapplianceissuppliedwitha 13 amp. fused plug it can be pluggedintoa13ampsocketfor immediate use. Before using the appliance please read the instructionbelow.

Warning:

this appliance

must be earthed.

The following

operations should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Replacing the fuse:

Disposing of the plug: Ensurethatbeforedisposingofthe plug itself, you make the pins unusable so that it cannot be accidentallyinsertedintoasocket.

Instruction for connecting cable to an altenative plug:

Important:thewiresinthemains lead are coloured in accordance withthefollowingcode:

Green&Yellow - Earth

Blue - Neutral

Brown - Live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead may not correspond with the coloured markings identifyingtheterminalinyourplug, proceedasfollows:

How to connect an alterna- tive plug:

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the followingcode:

- Blue

“NEUTRAL”(“N”)

- Brown

“LIVE”(“L”)

- Green

“EARTH”(“E”)

andYellow

Disposing of the appliance: Whendisposingoftheappliance pleaseremovetheplugbycutting themainscableascloseaspossible totheplugbodyanddisposeofit asdescribedabove.

Whenreplacingafaultyfuse,a13 amp ASTA approved fuse to BS 1362shouldalwaysbeused,and thefusecoverre-fitted.Ifthefuse coverislost,theplugmustnotbe used until a replacement is obtained.

Replacement fuse covers: If a replacement fuse cover is fitted, it must be of the correct colours as indicated by the colouredmarkingorthecolourthat isembossedinwordsonthebase oftheplug.Replacementscanbe obtaineddirectlyfromyournearest ServiceDepot.

Removing the plug:

If your appliance has a non- rewireablemouldedplugandyou shouldwishtoremoveittore-route themainscablethroughpartitions, unitsetc.,pleaseesurethateither:

-theplugisreplacedbyafused13 ampre-wireableplugbearingthe BSImarkofapproval

-or:

-themainscableiswireddirectly intoa13ampcableoutlet, controlled by a switch, (in compliancewithBS5733)which isaccessiblewithoutmovingthe appliance.

connect Green & Yellow wire to terminalmarked“E”or coloured GreenorGreen&Yellow.

Connect Brown wire to terminal marked“L”orcolouredRed.

Connect Blue wire to terminal marked“N”orcolouredBlack.

Ifa13ampplug(BS1363)isused itmustbefittedwitha13ampfuse. A15ampplugmustbeprotected bya15amp fuse,eitherintheplug or adaptor or at the distribution board.

If you are in any doubt about the electricalsupplytoyourmachine, consult a qualified electrician beforeuse.
