Cut Hazard
Always place cover on jar when blending.
Do not put hands, spoons, or other utensils in jar when blending.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in broken bones or cuts.
Cleaning
The jar should be cleaned immediately AFTER EACH USE. The jar can be cleaned in the following manner:
1.Fill the jar half full with warm water, 122 degrees F (50 degrees C).
2.Add a drop of liquid detergent or 1⁄2 teaspoon of detergent powder.
3.Place the cover/filler cap on the jar and blend on C cycle or the High setting for 30 seconds.
4.Turn the blender off, and then rinse the jar and wipe down to dry. Do not disassemble the cutter assembly.
5.Wash the jar cover/filler cap in warm, soapy water. Rinse and let dry.
6.Unplug the blender.
7.Wipe down the blender base with a damp cloth.
Sanitizing
If the blender will not be used again within 1 hour, sanitize the container in the following manner:
1.After washing the jar, fill it with a cold chlorine- based sanitizing solution that has a minimum chlorine concentration of 100 parts per million. See recommended solution below.
2.Place the cover/filler cap on the jar and blend on C cycle or the High setting for a minimum of 2 minutes.
3.Empty the jar but do not rinse.
4.Dry the jar by placing it on the blender base and turn the blender on C
Recommended Sanitizing Solution: The sanitizing solution should consist of 1 tablespoon of household bleach per 1 gallon of clean, cool water (60° F, 16° C) mixed according to the instructions on the bleach. When using a sanitizing solution other than that recommended, the sanitizing solution concentration should be tested using commercially available test strips and should indicate a concentration between
100 and 200 parts per million of bleach to water.
