Camarones Jumbo Fritos

Aceite de canola para freír

14 camarones grandes con cáscara

1 cucharadita de sal

½cucharadita de pimienta blanca 3 cucharaditas de maizena

1 cucharadita de vino de arroz japonés

Precaliente el horno a 350° F. Pele y desvene los camarones haciendo una cortada en la cáscara, a lo largo de la espalda del camarón para quitarles la cinta negra. Sazone los camarones con el vino de arroz y la sal. Déjelos reposar por aproximadamente 20 minutos.

Espolvorée uniformemente cada camarón con maizena. Ponga los camarones dentro de la canastilla para freír y desciéndala en el aceite. Fría de 4 a 5 minutos o hasta que los camarones alcancen el color y la consistencia deseados.

Déjelos escurrir en la canastilla y luego séquelos con palmaditas, con toallas de papel absorbente. Adorne con hojas de lechuga y rebanadas de limón.

Fritos de Queso Fontina

Aceite de maíz para freír

¾ de libra de queso fontina enfriado

2 huevos, con las yemas y las claras separadas

½taza de albahaca fresca picada 1 ½ tazas de harina sin blanquear 2/3 de taza de agua helada

1 cucharadita de polvo de hornear

3 cucharaditas de aceite de oliva Sal al gusto

Bata las claras de huevo con una pizca de sal hasta que estén apenas a punto de turrón. Envuelva las claras en la pasta batida junto con la albahaca picada.

Sumerja los trozos de queso en la pasta batida. Escurra el exceso de pasta. Descienda los trozos de queso en el aceite, hasta que se doren, aproximadamente de 1 a 1 ½ minutos. Escúrralos y sáquelos de la canastilla. Sírvalos inmediatamente.
