Dehydrate Chart

T

Dehydrate dries with heat from a third element behind the back

wall of the oven. The heat is circulated throughout the oven by the

convection fan.

Use Dehydrate to dry and/or preserve foods such as fruits, vegetables and herbs. This mode holds an optimum low temperature (100 ºF – 160 ºF) while circulating the heated air to slowly remove moisture. The oven stays on for 48 hours before shutting off automatically.

Tips: • Dry most fruits and vegetables at 140 ºF. Dry herbs at 100 ºF (refer to the Dehydrate Chart for examples).

Drying times vary depending on the moisture and sugar content of the food, the size of the pieces, the amount being dried and the humidity in the air. Check food at the minimum drying time.

Multiple drying racks (not included) can be used simultaneously.

Treat fruits with antioxidants to avoid discoloration.

Consult a food preservation book, county Cooperative Extension Office or library for additional information.

Bosch Appliances has long been recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and reliability in home appliances. Two of their distinguished wall oven models, the HBL8650 and HBL8550, exemplify these ideals, offering a plethora of features and technologies that enhance both cooking performance and user experience.

The Bosch HBL8650 is a benchmark for built-in wall ovens, boasting a European design that seamlessly integrates into any kitchen aesthetic. One of its standout features is the European Convection cooking system, which utilizes a rear fan and additional heating element to circulate hot air for even baking results. This technology ensures that foods are cooked uniformly, eliminating the hot spots that can plague lesser appliances.

In addition, the HBL8650 comes equipped with a touch control panel that provides intuitive navigation through its expansive range of cooking modes. With options like True European Convection, Chef's Convection, and various pre-set cooking modes, users can experiment with culinary techniques ranging from baking to broiling with ease. The oven also features a self-cleaning function, making maintenance simple and hassle-free.

Similarly, the Bosch HBL8550 offers many of the same high-end features, including a sleek design and user-friendly controls. This model is particularly noted for its speed and efficiency, built with a precision temperature probe that provides accurate readings to help achieve the perfect cook. The HBL8550 also features a built-in meat probe, allowing home cooks to monitor their dish's internal temperature without opening the door.

Both models incorporate Bosch's patented Quiet Close door, which ensures a gentle and silent close, reducing noise and enhancing the overall kitchen environment. Moreover, they are designed with eco-friendly materials, highlighting Bosch's commitment to sustainability.

In terms of capacity, both ovens offer ample space to accommodate large dishes, making them ideal for family gatherings or entertaining guests. The interior lighting is bright and strategically placed to ensure that users can easily monitor their food without constant door openings.

In conclusion, Bosch's HBL8650 and HBL8550 wall ovens combine state-of-the-art technology with elegant design, making them excellent choices for those who prioritize culinary excellence and convenience. With high-performance cooking capabilities, user-friendly features, and an eye towards sustainability, Bosch continues to set the standard for modern kitchen appliances.
