Cleaning and care

Special instructions for control buttons

Do not leave dirt and debris on the buttons for any length of time.

Otherwise they may become discolored or damaged.

Remove any dirt or debris immediately.

Observe the general cleaning instructions contained in this chapter.

Do not use a stainless steel cleaner to clean the control buttons.

Special instructions for glass surfaces

Glass surfaces can be cleaned using a commercial glass cleaner.

Grease filter

The reusable metal grease filter in the appliance removes solid particles from the kitchen vapors (grease, dust, etc.) preventing soiling of the hood.

A dirty filter is a fire hazard!

Cleaning intervals

Over longer periods of time, fat buildup on the grease filter hardens and makes cleaning more difficult. Therefore, we recommend cleaning the grease filters once every 3-4 weeks.

Removing the grease filters

The area around the filter will get very hot due to heat from the cooktop lighting.

Danger of burns!

Switch the cooktop lighting off and wait a few minutes after cooking for the hood to cool down before removing the filter.

When handling a grease filter, be careful not to drop it.

This can result in damage to the filter and to the cooktop.

Make sure you hold the filter securely at all times when handling it.
