The lower position provides a flat surface for placing dishes that may tilt if placed on the turntable.

The lower position also allows you to place 2 dishes side-by-side. This is helpful for casseroles or other cookware that may be too tall to cook on 2 levels.

The upper position gives you the option to reheat or cook more than one dish of food at the same time.

To cook on 2 levels or

To cook 2 dishes on the lower level:

1Double the cooking time.

2Switch places after 1/2 the time and give dishes 1/2 turn. (Place dense foods, or those that require a longer cook time, on the shelf first.)

To reheat 2 dishes on the lower level:

1Multiply reheat time by 11/2.

2Switch places after 1/2 the time.
