Primero seleccione la potencia baja

(LOW) o alta (HIGH) usando el conmuta- dor corredizo. Luego seleccione un botón de velocidad. La licuadora mar- chará hasta que se oprima el botón O/OFF (apagado).

El botón O/OFF también es el botón de CRUSH/PULSE (picar/pulso). Esto permite un control instantáneo de la acción de licuado. La licuadora marcha solamente mientras se está oprimiendo el botón.

La función de limpieza

La función de limpieza se debe usar solamente para enjuagar la licuadora entre tandas procesadas del mismo alimento. Cuando se haya terminado el procesamiento de un tipo de comida, será necesario desarmar la licuadora

y limpiarla bien, según se ilustra en “Limpieza”.

Para usar la función de CLEAN (limpieza) vierta 2 tazas (500 ml) de agua tibia en el vaso y agregue una gota de líquido detergente para lavar vajilla. Haga mar- char la licuadora en la graduación CLEAN (limpieza) por 10 segundos. Descarte el agua jabonosa. Enjuague con agua limpia.

Esta función no sustituye la limpieza común según las instrucciones proporcionadas en la sección de “Limpieza”. Esta función nunca se debe usar cuando se esté licuando cualquier mezcla que contenga huevos, leche u otros productos lácteos, carnes o frutos de mar.

Cómo triturar el hielo

Para obtener hielo con una consistencia de nieve, siga los lineamientos siguientes:

•El hielo debe venir directamente del congelador. Hielo que se haya almace- nado en una caja para hielo o en la hielera, ya se habrá comenzado a derretir. Esa pequeña cantidad de humedad evitará que se obtenga un buen hielo picado y seco.

•Pique entre 3 y 4 tazas (750 ml a 1 L) de hielo por vez.

•Use el botón de CRUSH/PULSE (picar/ pulso). Oprima y suelte el botón per- mitiendo que la licuadora se detenga completamente antes de oprimir nue- vamente. Esto permite que los trozos grandes de hielo caigan entre las cuchillas para que el hielo quede bien picado.

NOTA: Continúe pulsando hasta que no escuche los trozos grandes de hielo golpear el vaso de la licuadora, o entre 30 y 45 segundos.

•Si pica hielo con un líquido, para hacer una bebida u otra receta, es importante que no haya más hielo que líquido para obtener mejores resultados. Se recomienda utilizar la misma cantidad de hielo y líquido, por ejemplo 2 tazas (500 ml) de hielo y 2 tazas (500 ml) de líquido. No trate de licuar 2 tazas (500 ml) de hielo y 1 taza (250 ml) de líquido. Eso creará una bolsa de aire alrededor de las cuchillas que evitará que todo el hielo quede picado.
