Storing your refrigerator

■■When storing your cleaned appliance, leave the doors open. This allows air to circulate and prevents the build up of bacteria and moulds.

■■Before using again, clean well using a mixture of warm water and baking soda (add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to each 500 ml of water). Rinse with clean water.

Holiday time

We recommend you leave your refrigerator operating while you are on holiday.

Before you start using your Ice & Water refrigerator

■■Check your refrigerator is switched on and has cooled for at least 2 hours before use (refer to page 19 – The temperature of your refrigerator and freezer).

■■Check that the water filter has been connected and turned on.

■■Turn on the ice maker (refer to page 24).

■■At first use allow approximately 1 minute from when the dispensing pad is pushed until water is dispensed. This will allow the water tank to fill.

■■Run through and discard the first 3 L (3 qt) of water from the dispenser, stopping intermittently (refer to page 21 – First use). Failure to do this will result in excessive dripping from your dispenser.

■■Discard the first 3 harvests of ice (8 ice cubes are produced per harvest), refer to page 24 – First use.

You are now ready to enjoy ice and water from your ActiveSmart™ refrigerator.

Please note that once installation is complete a few drips may appear out of the dispenser over the next few days as the remaining trapped air is cleared.
