grip throughout the mixing operation.

10.Press and hold the Switch Lock while pulling up on the Power Switch (1) to start the Mortar Mixer. The power switch must be held up all the time for the unit to operate. Releasing the switch will turn the unit off. (See

Figure B.)

11.If necessary, you may further adjust the speed of the Mortar Mixer pad- dles by adjusting the Speed Regula- tor (17).NOTE: The Speed Regula- tor may be adjusted while the tool is running. (See Figure B.)

12.When finished mixing the material, turn the Mortar Mixer’s Power Switch

(1) to its “OFF” position to stop the tool.

CAUTION: DO NOT remove the Mortar Mixer from the mixing drum until the Mixer has completely stopped. (See Figure B.)

13.Once the Mortar Mixer has complete- ly stopped, remove it from the mixing drum. Then unplug the GFCI Power Cord/Plug (6) from its electrical outlet.

14.Make sure to clean the Left Auger (28A) and Right Auger (28B) thor- oughly after use. Then store the Mor- tar Mixer in a clean, dry, safe location out of reach of children and other unauthorized persons.

To prevent serious injury

from accidental operation:

Turn the Power Switch (1) of the Mortar Mixer to its “OFF” position and unplug the tool from its electrical outlet before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.

To prevent serious injury from tool failure:

Do not use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use.

1.BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the Mortar Mixer. Check for loose screws/nuts, mis- alignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, damaged electrical wiring, and any other condi- tion that may affect its safe operation.

2.Carbon Brush Maintenance. The Carbon Brushes (9) may require maintenance when the Motor perfor- mance of the tool decreases or stops working completely. To maintain the Brushes:

a.Remove the Carbon Brush Cover (8) on each side of the Motor Housing.

b.Remove the Carbon Brushes (9) from the Housing. Keep track of which orientation the old Carbon Brushes were in to prevent need- less wear if they will be rein- stalled.
