4.Press the PRESETS 0 number pad to adjust the temperature. Each time PRESET 0 is pressed, the temperature changes by 5 degrees, rising from “0°” to “35°” and then continuing from “-35°” to “0°”. If in Celcuis mode, the temperature changes by 3 degrees, rising from “0°” to “21°” and then continuing from “-21°” to “0°.”

5.The time of day will automatically reappear in the display.

You do not need to readjust the oven temperature if there is a power failure or interruption. Temperature adjustments can be made to Bake, Convect Bake (on some models) and Convect Roast (on some models) only. Broil, Warm and Self Clean temperatures cannot be adjusted.

To Display Temperatures in °C instead of °F:

1.Press and hold the CANCEL and BAKE buttons for

3 seconds. A single beep will sound and the current setting will be displayed.

If no change is made, the range will return to the existing setting after 30 seconds.

2.Press the PRESETS 0 number pad to change the setting. Wait 5 seconds and the setting will be complete.

OVEN USE

Odors and smoke are normal when the oven is used the first few times, or when it is heavily soiled.

IMPORTANT: The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the fumes given off. Exposure to the fumes may result in death to certain birds. Always move birds to another closed and well- ventilated room.

AluminumFoil

IMPORTANT: To avoid permanent damage to the oven bottom finish, do not line the oven bottom with any type of foil, liners or cookware.

On those models with bottom vents, do not block or cover the oven bottom vents.

For best cooking results, do not cover entire rack with foil because air must be able to move freely.

To catch spills, place foil on rack below dish. Make sure foil is at least ¹⁄₂" (1.3 cm) larger than the dish and that it is turned up at the edges.

Positioning RacksandBakeware

IMPORTANT: To avoid permanent damage to the porcelain finish, do not place food or bakeware directly on the oven door or bottom.

RACKS

Position racks before turning on the oven.

Do not move racks with bakeware on them.

Make sure racks are level.

To move a rack, pull it out to the stop position, raise the front edge, then lift out. Use the following illustration and chart as a guide.

The Whirlpool GY397LXUS is an innovative range designed to elevate your cooking experience, blending advanced technology with user-friendly features. This model is particularly noted for its versatility and convenience, catering to a wide range of culinary needs.

One of the main features of the GY397LXUS is its powerful dual-fuel capability. This means it combines the benefits of a gas cooktop with an electric oven, providing precise temperature control and even cooking results. Home chefs appreciate the instant heat of the gas burners, allowing for quick adjustments to cooking temperatures, while the electric oven ensures consistent baking and roasting.

The cooktop includes multiple burners with varying BTU ratings, enabling a range of cooking styles from simmering delicate sauces to boiling pasta rapidly. The center burner typically features a large, high-heat option perfect for high-demand tasks like wok cooking or searing meats. Additionally, the surface is designed for easy cleaning, featuring durable cast iron grates that can hold heavy cookware.

The oven itself stands out with its expansive capacity, accommodating several dishes simultaneously. It also comes equipped with a convection cooking system, which circulates hot air throughout the oven, promoting even baking results and reducing cooking times. The oven includes multiple cooking modes, including bake, broil, and specific settings for pizza and bread, allowing users to achieve professional-quality results at home.

Another notable characteristic is the smart oven control technology. With WiFi connectivity, users can monitor and control their oven remotely through a smartphone app. This feature allows for preheating the oven from anywhere, ensuring dinner is ready when you are.

Safety is a priority for Whirlpool, and the GY397LXUS includes features such as a control lock and a range of sensors to alert users when temperatures reach unsafe levels.

In terms of design, the sleek stainless steel finish adds a modern touch to any kitchen, while the intuitive control panel makes it easy to navigate settings.

Overall, the Whirlpool GY397LXUS is a feature-rich range recommended for those who take their cooking seriously.
