Notes on cassettes

Use of 120-minute or longer tapes is not recommended since they are extremely thin and easily deformed or damaged.

Wind up any slack in the tape with a pencil or similar tool before use. Slack tape may jam in the mechanism.

Playback

Use only type I (normal) tapes.

1Press zPUSH EJECT to open the cassette holder.

2Insert the tape.

Insert with the exposed side down, and press zPUSH EJECT to close the cassette holder.

3Press dto start play.

To select a reverse mode

Hold down SHIFT and press REV MODE repeatedly on the remote control.

The mode changes as follows; "p" : Plays one side only

"[" : Plays from the front side to the back sides once.

"]" : Plays both sides repeatedly

To stop playback

Press s.

To change the playback side

Press din playback mode.

To rewind or fast forward

Press for g.

To reset the tape counter

Press sin stop mode, and the tape counter on the display is reset to "0000".

Opening and closing the cassette holder will also reset the tape counter.

To eject the tape

Press zPUSH EJECT after the deck stops completely.
