Optional automatic ice maker.. .

Changing the light bulb.. .

Before removing the light shield for cleaning or for

replacing the bulb, unplug the refrigerator. Use

apphance bulbs on/y

Push in the Center;

If you have the automatrc Ice maker accessory or plan to add one later [Part No ECKMF-61, there are a few things You will want to know

lThe ON /OFF lever is a wire signal arm. Down., .for making Ice automatically;

Up.. to shut off the ice maker.

l Shake the bin occasronally to keep cubes sepa- rated, and to obtain Increased storage capacity.

l It IS normal for ice crescents to be attached by a corner. They will break apart easily.

l You will hear water running when Ice maker IS working. You’ll hear Ice fall into the bin. Don’t let these sounds bother you.

l The ice maker WIII not operate until the freezer IS cold enough to make ice. This can take overnight.

l Because of new plumbing connecttons, the first ice may be drscolored or off-flavored Discard the first few batches of ice.

l If ice is not being made fast enough and more ice is needed, turn the Temperature Control toward a higher number. Wait a day and, if necessary. turn the Air Control toward A.

l If you remove the ice brn, raise the srgnal arm to shut off the ice maker. When You return the bin, push It all the way in and lower the arm to the ON position.

l If cubes are stored too long, they may develop an off-flavor.. like stale water. Throw them away. They WIII be replaced. Cubes In the ice brn can also become smaller by evaporation.

lPush lightly on the top center of the light shield until

the notched tab unhooks from the control panel.

l Pull down on the shield until the tab clears the control panel.

lLift the back hooks out of their slots

l Replace with a do-watt appliance bulb l Replace light shield In reverse order

Removing the crispers and crisper covers.. .

lSlide crispers strarght out to stop. l Lift the front.

l Slide the rest of the way out. l Replace in reverse order.

Covers are held in place by two pegs at the back and two notched tabs In front

Push the Tab

to Clear the Cover.

Adjusting shelves.. .

Shelves can be adjusted to match the way you use

your refrigerator.		II I	IIll,
To remove	shelves:
I, Tilt up at front
2. Lift up at back.
3 Pull shelf	straight	out

To replace:

1.Guide the rear hooks into the slots In the shelf supports.

2.Tilt up front of shelf until hooks drop into slot. Lower front of shelf to level position.

Snap Back

lPress front tabs out of the way. l Lift cover front.

l Lift back off the pegs

l Replace in reverse order.

The center leg can be made shorter or longer to help level the crisper covers, If necessary. Turn the leg clockwrse to make It longer Turn It counter- clockwrse to shorten It.
