VISUAL Operations

“WIDE”: (wide mode)

The image at right and left ends in a display elongates horizontally.

“F. WIDE”: (full wide mode)

The whole image elongates horizontally.

“CINEMA”: (cinema mode)

The image at both top and bottom in a dis- play disappears.

Notes:

When a normal 4:3 size image, not being a wide one, is viewed by displaying it fully on a wide monitor display in a wide mode or a full-wide mode, a part of the peripheral image will be lack- ing or deformed. In deference to the intention of producer, an original image can be viewed in a normal mode.

During superimposed display, it becomes a full- wide mode.

When the monitor display size mode is changed, only the monitor display size indication superim- posed on the screen (“NORMAL”, “WIDE”, “F.WIDE” or “CINEMA”) will be changed, then the corresponding display size mode will be engaged.

Monitoring the CCD camera

The CCD camera can be connected to this unit. For the power supply of the camera, mount the power box sold separately (CAA-188).

Notes:

This function is not available when the display is stored.

Switching the 2-ZONE/3-ZONE

The front monitor lock and rear monitor lock al- lows you to enjoy 2-ZONE and 3-ZONE.

2-ZONE:

Use the front monitor lock (or rear monitor lock) to lock the receiver screen image (or image from a separately sold rear monitor) to switch the speaker sound to a sound mode that differs from the sound accompanying the image.

3-ZONE

When a separately sold rear monitor is con- nected, use the front or rear monitor lock to lock the image of the receiver and that of the rear monitor and to switch the speaker sound to a sound mode that differs from the sound accom- panying the image.

Notes:

The front monitor lock displays the image of an external device (VTR, TV game console, etc.) connected to the Visual 2 terminal.

The rear monitor lock displays the image of an ex- ternal device (VTR, TV game console, etc.) con- nected to the Visual 1 terminal.

When a DVD changer connected to the CeNET is connected to the Visual 1 terminal, the rear moni- tor lock cannot be used.

When 2-ZONE or 3-ZONE is used, the sound from an external device (VTR, TV game console, etc.) can only be heard from headphones con- nected to the external device.

A rear monitor is a separately sold accessory.
