Sirius operation

Scan function

There are two scan modes: a category scan mode and a preset scan mode.

During scanning channels are displayed in ab- breviated form and the display mode cannot be switched.

Category scanning

In a category scan, broadcast channels in the same category as the current channel are se- lected about every 10 seconds.

1.Touch the screen in the STANDARD screen.

2.Touch [SUB MODE] to open the SUB MODE screen.

3.Touch the [CATEGORY SCAN] key.

Note:

Category scanning is not available when no cat- egory is defined for the current channel.

Preset scan

A preset scan scans the channels (up to 18 channels) stored in the preset memory about every 10 seconds.

1.Touch the screen in the STANDARD screen.

2.Touch [SUB MODE] to open the SUB MODE screen.

3.Touch the [PRESET SCAN] key.

Other Functions

Always turning on the button illumination on the operation panel

Note:

The following operation is enabled when the panel is open.

Doing this operation turns on and off the illunination only for the buttons of VoL [+] and [], [DISP], and [OPEN].

The button illumination on the operation panel when the display is turned upward, can be switched between “ON” and “OFF”.

The factory default setting is ON.

“OFF”: Button illumination on the operation panel turns on for 5 seconds;

“ON”: Button illumination is always on when the power is turned on;

1.When the panel is open, press the [ADJ] but- ton to show the ADJUST MODE menu.

2.Touch the [ ] key to select “UPPER ILLUMI”.

3.Touch the [UPPER ILLUMI] key to select “ON” or “OFF”.

4.Touch the [ON] or [OFF] key for setting.

5.Press the [ADJ] button or touch the [RTN] key to return to the previous mode.

To set “ON” again, switch “OFF” to “ON” manually.

Entering titles

Titles up to 10 characters long can be stored in memory and displayed for Radio stations, TV sta- tions and CD changer. The numbers of titles that can be entered for each mode are as follows.

You cannot enter titles with the unit in Seek, Preset Scan, Auto store (TUNER or TV) mode. Cancel each of those operations before entering titles.

1.Press the [FUNC] button to select the mode you want to enter a title (TUNER, CD changer or TV).

2.Select and play a CD in the CD changer or tune in to a Radio station or a TV station for which you want to enter the title.

3.Touch the screen or press the [LIST] button, the MENU screen appears.
