Odors In Refrigerator

Problem	Cause		Correction
Interior is dirty.	•	Interior needs to be cleaned.	•	See Care & Cleaning Tips.
	•	Food with strong odors is in refrigerator.	•	Cover food tightly.

Opening/Closing Of Doors/Drawers

Correction

Door(s) will not close.

•Door was closed too hard, causing other door to open slightly.

•Refrigerator is not level. It rocks on the floor when moved slightly.

•Close both doors gently.

•Ensure floor is level and solid, and can adequately support the refrigerator. Contact a carpenter to correct a sagging or sloping floor.

	•	Refrigerator is touching a wall or cabinet.

Drawers are difficult to	•	Food is touching shelf on top of drawer.
m ove.	•	Track that drawers slide on is dirty.
		Track that drawers slide on is dirty.

•Ensure floor is level and solid, and can adequately support the refrigerator. Contact a carpenter to correct a sagging or sloping floor.

•Keep less food in drawer.

Light Bulb Is Not On

Problem	Cause
Light bulb is not on.	•	Light bulb is burned out.
	•	Freezer light switch is stuck.
	•	No electric current is reaching refrigerator.
	•	Control system has disabled lights
		because m agnet mounted behind dairy
		compartm ent (in fresh food door) has
		been rem oved.
	•	Control system has disabled lights
		because one or both doors were left open
		too long.

Correction

•Release light switch located inside freezer compartment.

•See Problem section, Running Your Refrigerator.

•Reinstall magnet.

•Close and reopen door(s) to enable lights.
