TheCrisperdrawer,locatedunderthebottomrefrigeratorshelf,isforstoringfruits andvegetables.Mostproduceshouldbewashedinclearwateranddrainedbefore placinginthisdrawer.Itemswithstrongodorsorhighmoistureshouldbewrapped beforestoring.

TheHumidityControl(somemodels)allowsyoutoadjustthehumiditywithinthe Crisperdrawer.Thiscanextendthelifeoffreshvegetableswhichkeepbestinhigh humidity.Leafyvegetables,however,keepbestwhenstoredwiththeHumidity ControlsetonHIGHER,orinadrawerwithoutaHumidityControl.Thiskeeps incoming air to a minimum and maintainsmaximummoisturecontent.

Meat Keeper

TheMeatKeeperislocatedatthebottomoftherefrigerator.Thetemperaturein thiscompartmentcanbemadecolderthantherestoftherefrigeratorcompart- mentbyslidingtheChilledAirControlknobwithintheCOLDESTorCOLDrange. Meatwillbepartiallyfrozenandmaybekeptfreshlongerthanifstoredona refrigeratorshelf.

BeforeplacingitemsintheMeatKeeper,followthesestepstokeepthemeatfresh:

1.Carefully handle meat with clean hands and always keep the compartment clean.

2.Storemeatinitsoriginalwrapper.Ifnecessary,overwrapinplasticwraporfoil topreventdrying.Wrapfishtightlytopreventodortransfertootherfoods.

3.Ifspoilageeveroccurs,disinfectthecompartmentwithliquidchlorinebleach followinglabeldirections.Thenrinsewithasolutionofbakingsodaandwater. Rinsewithclearwateranddry.

FreezerBasket

Aslide-outwirebasket(somemodelshavetwo)hangsbelowthebottomfreezer shelf.Thisbasketprovideseasyaccesstofrozenfoodpackages.

Tall Storage Compartment (some models)

Ashelfisattachedtothefreezerwalljustbelowtheiceserver.Thisallowsfor convenientstorageoftallitemsplacedverticallybetweentheiceserverandthe freezerwall.
