Congratulations on the purchase of your Bushnell Night Vision Product. Bushnell Night Vision products are comprised of high quality image intensifier tubes and optics. Bushnell Night Vision products amplify existing light, allowing you to see in dark conditions too dark for the naked eye.

HOW NIGHT VISION WORKS

Bushnell Night Vision products collect and amplify existing light through the objective lens, which is then focused on the image intensifier. Inside the intensifier, a photocathode is "excited" by the light and converts the photon energy into electrons. These electrons accelerate across an electrostatic field inside the intensifier and strike a phosphor screen (like a green monochrome TV screen) which emits an image that you can see. It is the acceleration of electrons, which provides gain and enhances the image. This is a Generation I device.

Your Night Vision device is ideal for a variety of professional and recreational uses including the following: Wild Life Observation, Astronomy, Boating / Marine Use, Police / Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, Security, and Property Management

GETTING STARTED

Installing Batteries

This device operates on one CR123 3-volt lithium battery. To install, unscrew the battery compartment cover located near the objective lens. Insert the positive end of the battery into the battery compartment leaving the negative end facing out. Replace the battery cover carefully – do not over tighten.

Use and Testing

This device operates on one 3-volt CR123 lithium battery. Make sure it has been installed according to the instructions above.

If you wish to test your night vision device in a lighted area, be sure the objective lens cap is covering the objective lens prior to pressing the "ON" button. The objective lens cap has a pinhole opening to admit a small amount of light for testing purposes.

If testing or using the device in the dark, remove the objective lens cap and activate the device by pushing the "ON" button. The objective lens cap can be conveniently stored on the side of the unit while in use in darkness.

Your Night Vision device offers a Built-In Infrared Illuminator. This allows you to see in complete darkness where no ambient light source, such as moonlight, is available. To activate, simply press the button located next to the "ON" button.

26-4050, 26-2024W specifications

Bushnell has long been synonymous with high-quality optics, and their models 26-2024W and 26-4050 exemplify the brand's commitment to innovation and performance. These binoculars are designed for a range of outdoor activities, whether you’re hiking, birdwatching, or attending sporting events.

One of the standout features of the Bushnell 26-2024W is its powerful 10x magnification and wide 26mm objective lens. This combination allows for exceptional clarity and brightness in various lighting conditions. The compact design of the 26-2024W makes it extremely portable, allowing users to easily stash it in a backpack or carry it around the neck during long excursions.

The 26-4050 model, on the other hand, offers a more robust experience, featuring a 50mm objective lens with a similar 10x magnification. This larger lens size enhances light-gathering capabilities, making the 26-4050 particularly well-suited for low-light conditions at dawn or dusk when shimmering details matter most.

Both models are equipped with fully multi-coated optics, which ensure maximum light transmission and improved color fidelity. This technology enhances overall image quality, providing crisp, vibrant views of distant subjects. The construction of these binoculars includes a durable, water-resistant housing, allowing them to withstand the rigors of outdoor use without compromising performance.

Another notable aspect is theBushnell’s inclusion of the BAK-4 prism system in both models, which delivers a more detailed and sharper image compared to lower-quality prisms. This optical design feature is key for anyone looking to have a remarkable viewing experience, as it significantly minimizes distortion and color fringing.

Comfort is also a priority in Bushnell's design, with both models providing ergonomic eyecups that adjust easily to the user’s preference, allowing for extended periods of comfortable observation. The non-slip rubber armor coating offers a secure grip, further enhancing usability during dynamic outdoor activities.

In summary, the Bushnell 26-2024W and 26-4050 binoculars exemplify performance, portability, and user-friendly features. With their advanced optical technologies, durable construction, and ergonomic design, these models are ideal for outdoor enthusiasts seeking reliable and high-quality optics for their adventures. Whether navigating through dense woods or watching the sunset from a mountaintop, Bushnell binoculars deliver the clarity and performance to elevate every experience.
