Monitoring the DSU

Network LEDs

DM ± Data Mode:

ON ± DSU (DDS network interface) is sending or receiving data, or is in DMI condition

(all 1s being received).

OFF ± DDS network interface is receiving CMI codes.

OOS ± Out of Service:

ON ± DSU is receiving out of

service code from the remote unit. Refer to Health and Status Messages, Table 4-2.

OOF ± Out of Frame:

ON ± DSU is detecting an out of frame condition. Refer to Health and Status Messages, Table 4-2.

NS ± No Signal:

ON ± DDS network interface detects no signal. Refer to Health and Status Messages, Table 4-2.
