Setting Oven Controls

Set Cook Time

Cook

The L222J and Timepads control the Cook Time feature. The automatic timer of the Cook Time feature will turn the oven OFF after cooking for the desired amount of time you selected.

To program the oven to begin baking immedlately and to shut

off automatically (example: BAKE at 350°F for 30 minutes)

1.Be sure the clock is set for the correct time of day.

4.Press _. "BAKF" and the actual oven temperature wiii appear in

the display (See Fig. 2).

5.Press Time(See Fig. 3).

6.Enter the desired baking time by pressing 3 0.

Note: Baking time can be set for any amount of time between 1 minute to 11 hours and 59 minutes (See Fig. 4).

7.Press _ (See Fig. 5).

Note: After the Cool{ Time feature has activated, press TimetO display the bake time remaining in the Cook Time mode. Once Cook Time has started baking, a long beep will sound when the oven temperature reaches the set temperature.

Press ST_ when baking has finished or at any time to cancel the Cook Time feature.

When the Cook Time finishes:

1."End" and the time of day wiii show in display. The oven wiii shut off automatically (Fig. 6).

2.The control will beep 3 times. The control will continue to beep 3

times every 30 seconds until _ is pressed.

important notes:

°The cool{ time feature may be set with Bake, Conv Bake, Conv Roast, Slow Cook and Preheat. Cook time or Delay Start will not operate with the Broil function.

°The maximum default Cool{ Time setting is 11 hours and 59 minutes.

°After Cool{ Time feature has been activated, press the Cool{ Time keypad to display any cool{ time remaining.

°Dark or dull pans absorb more heat than shiny bakeware resulting in dark or overbrowning of foods. It may be necessary to reduce the oven temperature or cool{ time to prevent overbrowning of some foods. Dark pans are recommended for pies. Shiny pans are recommended for cakes, cookies or muffins.

Use caution with the COOK TiME or DELAY START functions. Use the COOK TiME function when cooking cured or frozen meats and most fruits and vegetables. Foods that can easily spoil such as mill{, eggs, fish, meat or poultry, should be chilled in the refrigerator first. Even when chilled, they should not stand in the oven for more than 1 hour before cooking begins, and should be removed PROMPTLY when cooking is completed. Eating spoiled food can result in sickness from food poisoning.
