CORRECT OPERATING POSITION

When operating unit, stand as shown and check for the following:

SWear eye protection and heavy clothing. S Grip rear handle with right hand and front

handle with left hand.

S Keep unit below waist level.

SDo not cut stems greater than 3/8 inch (1 cm) thick.

SDuring operation, keep extension cord be- hind the trimmer; never drape over hedge being trimmed.

Top Cutting

Use a wide sweeping motion for top cutting. A slight downward tilt of the cutting blades in the direction of motion gives the best cutting results.

STOPPING YOUR UNIT

To stop the unit, release the trigger switch, al- low blades to stop, then move the hedge trim- mer away from the cutting area.

STARTING YOUR UNIT

1.Connect the unit to a power source using the proper size extension cord (see SE-

LECT AN EXTENSION CORD).

2.Grip front and rear handles firmly.

3.Push the trigger lock--out button forward with your right hand thumb.

4.Squeeze and hold the trigger switch.
