•Stayalert
•Themotor/bladecontrolhandleis a safetydevice.Neverattempt to bypassitsoperation.Doingso makesthe safetydevice inoperativeand mayresultinpersonalinjury throughcontact withthe rotatingblade.The motor/bladecontrolhandlemust operateeasilyinbothdirectionsandautomaticallyreturnto the disengagedpositionwhenreleased.
•Neveroperatethe mowerinthe rainor indampor wetgrass. Alwaysbesureof yourfooting. Aslip andfall cancauseserious personalinjury.If youfeel youarelosingyourfooting,releasethe motor/bladecontrolhandleimmediatelyandthe bladewill stop rotatingwithinthreeseconds.
•Mowonly indaylightor goodartificiallight. Walk,neverrun.
•Stopthe motor/bladewhencrossinggraveldrives,walksor roads.
•If theequipmentshouldstartto vibrateabnormally,stopthe engineandcheckimmediatelyfor the cause.Vibrationisgener- ally awarningof trouble.
Shutthe motoroff andwaituntilthe bladecomesto a complete stopbeforeremovingthe grasscatcheror uncloggingthe chute. Thecuttingbladecontinuesto rotatefora few secondsafterthe motoris shutoff. Neverplaceany partof the bodyin the blade areauntilyouare surethe bladehas stoppedrotating.
•Neveroperatemowerwithoutpropertrail shield,discharge chute,grasscatcher,motor/bladecontrolhandleorother safety protectivedevicesin placeandworking.Neveroperatemower withdamagedsafetydevices.Failureto do so,can resultin personalinjury.
