PROBLEM

Engine fails to start

Loss of Power; .........

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S )

Engine shut-off switch OFF.

oFuel shut-off valve closed.

oFuel tank empty, or stale fuel. Spark plug wire disconnected. Faulty spark plug.

oSpark plug wire loose.

0Unit running on CHOKE. Blocked fuel line or stale fuel.

Water or dirt in fuel system.

oCarburetor out of adjustment.

ODirty air cleaner.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

oMove switch to ON position. o Open fuel shut-off valve.

Fill tank with clean, fresh fuel. e Connect wire to spark plug.

Clean, adjust gap or replace.

Connect and tighten spark plug wire.

Move choke lever to OFF position. Clean fuel line; fill tank with clean fresh gasoline.

Disconnect fuel line at carburetor to drain fuel tank. Refill with fresh fuel.

Adjust carburetor or contact your SEARS Service Center.

Service air cleaner. See Customer Responsibilities section of this manual.

Engine overheats

Reservoir fluid level low,

oAdjust carburetor or contact your SEARS Service Center.

O Fill crankcase with proper oil. Remove blower housing and clean.

oCheck and fill reservoir tank as instructed in Operation section of this manual.

NOTE: For repairs beyond the minor adjustments listed above, please contact your nearest SEARS Service Center.
