TO REMOVE WHEEL FOR REPAIRS FRONT WHEEL (See Fig 31) -

=Block up axle securely,

Remove axle cover, retaining ring and washers to allow wheel removal

Repair tire and reassemble

oReplace washers and snap retaining ring securely in axle groove

-Replace axle cover

REAR WHEEL -

o Block rear axte securely

o Remove five (5) hub bolts to allow wheel removal

oRepair tire and reassemble Replace and tighten hub bolts securely

TO START ENGINE WITH A WEAK BATTERY (See Figs. 32)

CAUTION: Lead-acid batteries garter-

and smoking materials away from bat- ate explosive gases. Keep sparks, flame teries. Always wear eye protection

when around batteries.

If your battery is too weak to start the engine, it shoutd be recharged. If "jumper cables" are used for emergency starting, foIlow this procedure:

IMPORTANT: YOUR TRACTOR IS EQUIPPED WiTH A 12 VOLT NEGATtVE GROUNDED SYSTEM THE OTHER VEHICLE MUST ALSO BE A 12 VOLT NEGATIVE GROUNDED SYSTEM. DO NOT USE YOUR TRACTOR BATTERY TO START OTHER VEHICLES

TO ATTACH ,JUMPER CABLES -

oConnect each end of the RED cable to the POSITIVE

(+)terminal of each battery, taking care net to short against chassis

oConnect one end of the BLACK cable to the NEGA- TIVE (-) terminal of fulty charged battery.

Connect the other end of the BLACK cabte to a panel bolt on the left side of the tractor, away from fuei tank and battery.

TO REMOVE CABLES, REVERSE ORDER -

,BLACK cable first from chassis and fully charged battery. o RED cable last from both batteries.

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB

o Raise hood,

Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the backside of the gdlL

Replace bulb in holder and push bulb holder securely back into the hole in the backside of the grill

o Close hood,

INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS

Loose or damaged wiring may cause your tractor to run poorly, stop running, or prevent it from starting

.

Check wiring,, See electrical wiring diagram in Repair

TO REPLACE FUSE

Replace with 30 amp automotive-type plug-in fuse, The fuse hotder is located behind the dash_
