1.Use extreme care in handling gasoline and other fuels. They are extremely flammable and the vapors are explosive.

2.Store fuel and oil in approved containers, away from heat and open flame, and out of the reach of children.

3.Check and add fuel before starting the engine. Never remove gas cap or add fuel while the engine is running. Allow engine to cool at least two minutes before refueling.

4.Replace gasoline cap securely and wipe off any spilled gasoline before starting the engine as it may cause a fire or explosion.

5.Extinguish all cigarettes, cigars, pipes and other sources of ignition.

6.Never refuel unit indoors because flammable vapors will accumulate in the area.

7.Never store the machine or fuel container inside where there is an open flame or spark such as a gas hot water heater, clothes dryer or furnace.

8.Never run your machine in an enclosed area as the exhaust from the engine contains carbon monoxide, which is an odorless, tasteless and deadly poisonous gas.

9.To reduce fire hazard, keep engine and muffler free of leaves, grass, and other debris build-up.

10.Clean up fuel and oil spillage. Allow unit to cool at least 5 minutes before storing.

11.Before cleaning, repairing, or inspecting, make certain the impeller and all moving parts have stopped. Disconnect the spark plug wire and keep wire away from spark plug to prevent accidental starting. Do not use flammable solutions to clean air filter.

12.Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.

13.Never tamper with safety devices. Check their proper operation regularly.

14.Do not alter or tamper with the engine’s governor setting. The governor controls the maximum safe operating speed of the engine. Over-revving the engine is dangerous and will cause damage to the engine and to other moving parts of the machine.

The Troy-Bilt 654 is a robust and versatile garden tiller designed to tackle a variety of soil preparation tasks for home gardening enthusiasts and professionals alike. This tiller stands out in the market due to its array of features and technologies that enhance performance and user experience, making it an excellent choice for cultivating, mixing, and aerating soil in your garden.

At the heart of the Troy-Bilt 654 is its powerful engine, typically a reliable 6.5 HP overhead valve engine that ensures ample power for breaking up tough soil and handling larger plots with ease. This engine is designed for easy starting, allowing users to get to work without the frustrations often associated with starting small machinery. Additionally, the tiller is equipped with a self-propelled drive system, which reduces the amount of effort needed to maneuver the tiller, especially in heavy or uneven soil conditions.

The Troy-Bilt 654 features a rear-tine design, which provides better balance and weight distribution. This design not only improves stability but also allows for deeper tilling, as the tines can penetrate the soil more effectively. It comes with adjustable tilling widths, allowing users to tailor their tilling experience according to the size of the task at hand. With the ability to till from 12 to 24 inches wide, this feature offers flexibility for different garden beds.

One of the key technologies incorporated into the Troy-Bilt 654 is the patented “Forward and Reverse” feature, which enables the tiller to move both forward and backward. This makes it easier to navigate tight spaces and provides better control when tilling. The counter-rotating tines create a thorough mixing of soil and improve seedbed preparation, which is essential for healthy plant growth.

Durability is another characteristic of the Troy-Bilt 654 that gardeners can appreciate. Built with high-quality materials, this tiller is designed to withstand the rigors of regular use. Its heavy-duty steel tines and reinforced frame ensure longevity, while the adjustable handlebars can be set for user comfort, reducing fatigue during extended use.
