Adjustments

Always stop engine, disconnect spark plug, and ground against engine before performing adjustments.

Cutting Height

Each wheel has a height adjustment lever to change the cutting height of the mower.

1.Depress the lever towards the wheel and slide the lever assembly to desired position to change the cutting height, Figure 3-11.

IMPORTANT: All wheels must be positioned at the same height.

Handle Height

For convenience of operating, you may adjust the handle height as follows:

1.Remove the starter rope from the rope guide.

2.Remove the star knobs shown in Figure 3-12 and remove the lower handles.

3.Position each handle bracket stud into the appropriate hole in the lower handle, Figure 3-12. Each end of the lower handle must be placed in the same position.

4.Attach and tighten the star knobs.

5.Reinsert starter rope into rope guide. For instructions, refer to page 9.

Remember to attach the spark plug wire after completing the adjustments and before operating your mower.

IMPORTANT:

All wheels must be placed in the same position. For rough or uneven lawns, move the wheels to a higher posi- tion to prevent scalping of grass.
