Spark Plug Wire
Disconnect spark plug wire from the spark plug and ground it against the engine. If engine is equipped with a rubber boot, attach rubber boot to a bolt on the engine. This will prevent the engine from firing during assembly.
Attaching The Handles
The lower handle has two flat ends with three holes each, one small and two large. The upper handle has indented ends with one hole and may have the blade control handle attached, Figure
Attaching Lower Handle
NOTE: Use the hardware in Group 1 to attach the lower handle.
1.Place the lower handle over the handle bracket assemblies and position each bracket stud into the top or bottom hole, Figure

Attaching Upper Handle
NOTE: Use the hardware in Group 2 to attach the upper handle.
1.Place the upper handle in position over the lower handle keeping the blade control handle facing up.
2.Secure the upper handle to the lower handle using the carriage bolts and star knobs, Figure
