6.Grasp the starter grip (Figure 21) and slowly pull it out.The resistance becomes the hardest at a certain position, corre- spondingtothecompressionpoint.Pullthestartergripbriskly and smoothly for starting.

Stopping The Engine

1.Movethethrottlelever tothe IDLE orSLOWposition (Figure 22) and run the engine for three minutes at low speed.

2.Aftertheenginecools,turntheenginestart/stopswitchtothe “OFF” position (Figure 23).

7.If the engine has started, slowly return the choke lever (Figure19)totheOPENposition.Iftheenginehasnotstarted repeat steps 1 through 6.

8.Before the trowel is placed into operation, run the engine for severalminutes. Check for fuel leaks, and noises that would associate with a loose V-belt cover or component.

9.To begin troweling, move the throttle lever (Figure 22) toward the "FAST" position.

3.Closethefuelshut-offvalve(Figure24)bymovingthefuel valve lever to the OFF position.
