7 – Entering names—Naming a track

Naming a track

Here’s how to assign a name to a track recorded on a

CD-R/CD-RW disc.

While stopped, access the “TEXT EDIT?”

 

menu item and press the ENTER button.

 

The display will indicate “Text> XXX” (you can

 

choose Disc or a track number 01–99).

Press the ENTER button, and use the MULTI

 

JOG dial (or the SKIP buttons on the remote

 

control unit) to select a track number 01–99.

Press the ENTER button.

 

 

The character display area will show the current

 

track name, and name edit mode will be active

 

(the cursor will blink).

 

Note

If there currently is no name, nothing will be displayed (the cursor will only blink).

4Enter a name in the same way as for a disc name, and press the MENU button on the front panel (or the MENU button on the remote control unit) to finalize your input.

If you’ve edited text and then attempt to remove the disc without writing the TOC, a message of Sure? Text! will appear. If you want to remove the disc without writing the TOC, press the (Open/Close) button once again while the Sure? Text! message is shown (the text you entered will be discarded).
