OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING Failure to observe the following instructions

!could result in serious injury or death.

STARTING INSTRUCTIONS

1.Park brake must be on, control levers in outward position and blade drive disengaged.

2.Position throttle to choke position if engine is cold. Full throttle if warm.

3.Insert ignition key and turn to START position. When engine starts, release ignition key. Key will return to RUN position.

4.Move throttle to maximum speed position.

5.Release park brake.

6.Swing levers inward.

7.Operate mower per “CONTROL” instructions on Page 19.

! CAUTION	Do not operate the engine in an enclosed
! CAUTION	area due to the harmful exhaust gas
	produced.

NOTE: When mowing with blades engaged, set throttle control to the MAXIMUM or wide open setting to insure adequate cooling of the engine and to maintain mower deck blade speed.
