OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION Failure to follow these instructions may

result in personal injury.

STARTING INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Parking brake must be on, control levers in outward position and blade drive disengaged.

2.Position throttle to choke position if engine is cold. Full throttle if warm.

3.Insert ignition key and turn to “start” position. When engine starts, release ignition key. Key will return to “run” position.

4.Move throttle to maximum speed position.

6.Release parking brake.

7.Swing levers inward.

8.Operate mower per “CONTROL” instructions on Page 18.

CAUTION Do not operate the engine in an enclosed

 

area due to the harmful exhaust gas produced.

Note:

When mowing with blades engaged, set throttle

 

control to the MAXIMUM or wide open setting to

 

insure adequate cooling of the engine and to maintain

 

mower deck blade speed.
