Adjusting Power Meter Modes

The Evolution One amplifier uses microprocessors to monitor RMS output voltage and current signals. This information is output to a custom front panel power meter (6) (7), which displays an accurate power measurement for the selected meter range on the power meter scale (6). The power meter has 4 modes of opera- tion accessed by the meter range button (12): 50 WATT range, 500 WATT range, 5000

WATT range, and OFF.

There are two ways to cycles between the operational modes:

Press the meter range button, located underneath the bottom right edge of the amplifier chassis front panel or,

Press the select key (SEL) on the Evolution Two preamplifier, on another Krell pream- plifier, or on the Universal Krell Touch Screen Remote.

Power Meter Range and Power Meter Wand Action

The power meter (6) (7) enables you to monitor the power output of the Evolution One amplifier. The 500 Watt scale is the factory default. The 50 Watt scale range is the most sensitive, and displays the smallest changes in power output, with the greatest physical movement of the power meter wand (7). Conversely, the 5000 Watt scale is the least sensitive, and displays the largest changes in power output, with the smallest physical movement of the power meter wand.

Evolution One specifications

Krell Industries is synonymous with high-fidelity audio and innovative engineering, showcasing their prowess in speaker design with the Evolution One. This speaker embodies the cutting-edge technology and striking aesthetics that Krell is recognized for in the audiophile community.

The Evolution One features a unique dual-woofer configuration, delivering powerful bass response without distortion. Each woofer is meticulously crafted from advanced composite materials, ensuring that the sound remains accurate and dynamic, even at high volumes. This design aligns perfectly with Krell's dedication to reproducing music with the utmost authenticity.

At the heart of the Evolution One is Krell's proprietary CAST (Current Mode Amplification) technology. This innovation sets Krell apart from competitors by allowing the signal to flow through a path that maintains the purity of the audio signal. By operating in current mode rather than voltage mode, CAST drastically reduces the impact of circuit interference that often plagues traditional audio systems. The result is a level of transparency and low distortion that appeals to even the most discerning audiophiles.

The speaker also incorporates advanced crossover technology, which seamlessly integrates the woofers and tweeter. Krell employs a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley crossover to ensure that the different drivers work in perfect harmony. This feature aids in achieving a balanced and cohesive soundstage, enhancing the listening experience across various musical genres.

Visually, the Evolution One is a statement piece. Its sleek, modern design is complemented by a high-gloss finish, ensuring it not only sounds exceptional but also serves as an elegant addition to any audio setup. The robust cabinet construction eliminates unwanted vibrations, further enhancing sound clarity.

Moreover, the Evolution One is equipped with advanced bi-wiring and bi-amping options, allowing audiophiles to optimize their setups based on personal preferences and system requirements. This flexibility makes the Evolution One an adaptable choice for those looking to refine their audio systems further.

In summary, the Krell Industries Evolution One is a culmination of innovative technology, premium materials, and exquisite design. With features such as dual-woofer configurations, CAST technology, and advanced crossover design, it stands as a testament to Krell's commitment to delivering high-fidelity audio experiences that resonate with both casual listeners and dedicated audiophiles alike.
