OPERATION

The operation of any lawn mower can result in foreign objects thrown into the eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Always wear safety glasses or eye shields while operating your lawn mower or performing any adjustments or repairs. We recommend standard safety glasses or a wide vision safety mask over spectacles.

Use ear pro- t e c t o r s t o avoid damage to hearing.

HOW TO USE YOUR LAWN MOWER

ENGINE SPEED

The engine speed was set at the factory for optimum per- formance. Speed is not adjustable.

ENGINE ZONE CONTROL

CAUTION: Federal regulations require an engine control to be installed on this lawn mower in order to minimize the risk of blade contact injury. Do not under any circumstances attempt to defeat the function of the operator control. The blade turns when the engine is running.

Your lawn mower is equipped with an operator presence control bar which requires the operator to be positioned behind the mower handle to start and operate the mower.

DRIVE CONTROL (See Fig. 5)

Self-propelling is controlled by holding the operator presence control bar down to the handle and pulling the drive control bar up to the handle. The closer to the handle the bar is pulled, the faster the unit will travel.

Forward motion will stop when either the operator pres- ence control bar or drive control bar are released. To stop forward motion without stopping engine, release the drive control bar only. Hold operator presence control bar down against handle to continue mowing without self-propelling.

NOTE: If after releasing the drive control the mower will not roll backwards, push the mower forward slightly to disengage drive wheels.

To keep drive control engaged when turning corners, push down on the handle to lift the front wheels off the ground while turning lawn mower.

DRIVE CONTROL ADJUSTMENT (See Fig. 5)

Over time, the drive control system may become “loose”, resulting in decreased speed. There are holes in the drive control housing to increase tension on the drive cable. Proceed as follows:

1.Turn unit off and disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug.

2.Loosen nut, move drive control housing down handle to the next hole and retighten nut.

3.Operate mower to test drive speed.

4.If condition fails to improve after the above steps (for- ward speed remains the same), your drive belt is worn and should be replaced.

TO ADJUST CUTTING HEIGHT (See Fig. 6)

Raise wheels for low cut and lower wheels for high cut, adjust cutting height to suit your requirements. Medium position is best for most lawns.

To change cutting height, squeeze adjuster lever toward wheel. Move wheel up or down to suit your require- ments. Be sure all wheels are in the same setting.

NOTE: Adjuster is properly positioned when plate tab inserts into hole in lever. Also, 9-position adjusters (if so equipped) allow lever to be positioned between the plate tabs.

961430096 specifications

The Husqvarna 961430096, also known as the Husqvarna 562 XP, is a high-performance chainsaw designed for professionals and serious enthusiasts. Renowned for its exceptional power-to-weight ratio, this model is ideal for demanding tasks, including felling, limbing, and bucking trees of various sizes.

One of the standout features of the Husqvarna 562 XP is its X-Torq engine technology. This innovative engine reduces fuel consumption by up to 20%, contributing to lower emissions without sacrificing power. The chainsaw delivers impressive cutting performance with its 60.3 cc engine, achieving a maximum power output of 3.5 kW. This efficiency not only translates to prolonged usage without frequent refueling but also promotes a cleaner working environment.

In terms of design, the Husqvarna 961430096 incorporates an ergonomic handle, providing superior comfort and balance during operation. The saw’s lightweight structure aids maneuverability, essential for precision cutting in various conditions. Additionally, the rear handle features rubber inserts for improved grip and reduced vibrations, enabling extended use without causing fatigue.

The Husqvarna 562 XP also incorporates advanced air injection technology, which helps filter out larger particles from the air intake before they reach the air filter. This results in less frequent air filter maintenance, thereby enhancing the chainsaw’s productivity and longevity. Coupled with the easy-access fuel and oil caps, which allow for quick refueling, this model is designed to keep users focused on the task at hand rather than maintenance.

Another key feature is the LowVib system, which minimizes vibrations felt by the user. This ensures a more comfortable working experience, especially during prolonged jobs, reducing the likelihood of operator fatigue and injury.

Safety is also prioritized in the Husqvarna 961430096, as it includes a chain brake and an inertia-activated kickback brake, which provide an essential safeguard against accidents. A see-through fuel tank lets users easily monitor fuel levels, preventing unexpected run-outs during use.

Overall, the Husqvarna 961430096 combines power, efficiency, and user-friendly features, making it an excellent choice for those needing a reliable chainsaw capable of tackling tough jobs with ease. Its blend of advanced technologies ensures both performance and sustainability in demanding working conditions. Whether you are a professional logger or a dedicated landowner, this chainsaw stands out as a formidable tool in the domain of outdoor power equipment.
