About battery packs•The battery pack should be recharged in an environment that is between 10°C (50°F) and 30°C (86°F). However, when it is exposed to cold temperatures (below 32°C (0°F)), its usage time reduces and it may cease to function. If this happens, place the battery pack in your pocket or other warm, protected place for a short time, then

•To preserve battery power, keep your camcorder turned off when you are not operating it.
•Even when the power is switched off, the battery pack will still discharge if it is left inserted on the camcorder. It is recommended that you remove the battery pack from the camcorder.
•If the battery pack is not used for a long time, fully charge the battery pack and use it up on your camcorder once every 6 months to maintain proper function. To store the battery pack, remove it from your camcorder and put it in a dry, cool place.
