SYNCHRONIZING INFORMATION—BASICS

NOTE To sync your info, you must install Palm® Desktop software from the Palm Software Installation CD that came with your Treo 700P smartphone—even if you sync with Outlook or another third-party application. See the User Guide for info.

Synchronizing means that information that is entered or updated in one place (your smartphone or your computer) is automatically updated in the other, so there’s no need to enter the information twice. We strongly recommend that you synchronize your Treo smartphone with your computer or corporate server frequently to keep your information up-to-date (and backed up) in both locations.

The info from all the following applications is updated by default each time you sync your smartphone with your desktop software:
