Turningyoursystemonandoff
Powerisappliedandremovedwithakeyswitchlocatedontheelectronicsenclosure.Twokeysaresuppliedwiththesystem.
Removethekeywhilethesystemisoperatingtopreventpatronsfromturningoffthesystem.Ifthekeyisnotavailableand
powermustberemoved,unplugthepowercordorturnoffthecircuitbreakerinthepowerdistributionpanelthatsupplies
powertothesystem.Y ourdetectionsystemhasbeendesignedtobeleftoncontinuously.
Turningthesystemon
1.Ensurethatthepowercordisconnectedtoapoweroutletorothersourceofpower.
2.TurnthekeyswitchtotheOnposition.
3.Allow15secondsforthesystemtowarmup.
Turningthesystemoff
Removepowerfromthesystembyoneofthefollowingmethods:
•TurnthekeyswitchtotheOffposition.
•DisconnecttheACpowercordfromthepoweroutlet.
•SetthefacilitycircuitbreakerforthesystemtotheOffposition.
Verifyingsystemoperation
Yoursystemshouldbeinspecteddailyforproperoperation.T overifysystemoperation,walkthroughthesystemcorridor
withasecuredlibraryitem.Thisshouldresultinanaudiblealarmandaflashingalarmlightatthetopofthelattices.Also,
thegreenalarm/inhibitlightontheelectronicsenclosureshouldbeflashingyellowatthetimeofalarm.Thereisnoneed
forrepetitivewalk-throughtesting.Duringnormaloperation,thecurrentpatroncountisdisplayed.Eachpassthrough
thesystemshouldincrementthepatroncounterbyone.
Fusereplacement
Thefusesarelocatedonthebottomoftheelectronicsenclosureinthepowerentryconnector.
1.TurnthekeyswitchtoOffanddisconnectthepowercordfromthepowersource.
2.Usingasmallflat-bladescrewdriver,removethefuseblockfromthepowerentryconnector.
3.Donotremovethevoltageselectionblockasthishasbeensetatthecorrectvoltagebytheinstaller.
4.Replacethefailedfuseswiththecorrectfuseforyouroperatingvoltage:
•Upto100to120VAC,usea4Afuse.
•Voltagesover220to240VAC,usea3.15Afuse.
5.Reinstallthefuseblock,connectthepowercordtothepowersource,andturnthekeyswitchtoOn.
