Resetting the Handheld
If the Handheld display locks up or stops working, perform the reset procedure described below.
A blank screen may be caused by a fully discharged battery.
To reset the Handheld
1Insert a memory card (with 3M Handheld software on it) into the Handheld.
2Press and hold the reset button for approximately one second.
3The Handheld software loads.
4The Home screen appears.
If pressing the reset button did not work…
1Insert a memory card (with 3M Handheld software on it) into the Handheld.
2Remove the battery.
3Insert a fully charged battery.
4Follow the Using the 3M™ Handheld RFID Reader for the first time procedure on page 6.
