Phoenix-Award BIOS Utility
The
Phoenix-Award
BIOS
provides
users
with
a
built-in
Setup
program
t
o
modify
basic
system
configuration.
All
configured
parameters
are
stored
in
a
battery-backed-up
RAM
(CMOS
RAM)
to
save
the
Setup
information
whenever
the
power
is
turned
o
ff.

3.1

Entering

Setup

There
are
two
ways
t
o
enter
the
Setup
program.
You
may
either
t
urn
ON
the
computer
and
press
<Del>
immediately
,
or
press
the
<Del>
and/or
<Ctrl>,
<Alt>,
and
<Esc>
keys
simultaneously
when
t
he
f
ollowing
message
appears
at
the
bottom
of
the
screen
during
POST
(Power
on
Self
Tes
t
).
TO
ENTER
SETUP
PRESS
DEL
KEY
If t
he
message
disappears
before
you
respond
and
you
s
t
ill
want
t
o
enter
Setup,
please
res
t
art
t
he
sys
t
em
t
o
t
ry
it
again
.
Turning
t
he
sys
t
em
power
OFF
and
ON
,
pressing
t
he
“RESET”
button
on
t
he
sys
t
em
case
or
simultaneously
pressing
<Ctrl>,
<Alt>,
and
<Del>
keys
can
restart
t
he
sys
t
em.
If
you
do
not
press
keys
at
the
right
t
ime
and
the
system
doesn’t
boot
,
an
error
message
will
pop
out
to
prompt
you
t
he
following
informa
t
ion:
PRESS

-
ALT-ESC>
OR
<DEL>
