Chapter 4 ATI Graphic Controller Setup4.1 Introduction
MDPC-4090 has an onboard graphic controller. The specifications and
features are described in the following sections.
4.1.1 Graphic Controller
Mobility M9 provides fast and advanced 2D, 3D, and multimedia graph-
ics performance. Its architecture features the latest achievements in the
graphics industry, and enables the use of the progressive new features in
upcoming applications, without compromising performance. ATI’s sup-
port of DirectX 8.1 features, highly optimized OpenGL support, and flex-
ible memory configurations allow implementations of graphically
demanding applications.
4.1.2 Display Memory
With onboard 64 MB display memory, the VGA controller can drive Dual
display with resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 at 24-bit color.
