Leveling the Range

Place the range in its intended position taking care not to twist it within the gap between the kitchen units as damage may occur to the range or the units. Install the oven shelves in the oven. Check for levelness by placing a spirit level or a cup, partially filled with water, on one of the oven grids. If using a spirit level, take two readings- with the level placed diagonally fi rst in one direction and then the other.

The front feet and rear rollers can be adjusted to level the range. To adjust the height of the rear of the range use the leveling tool supplied to turn the adjusting nuts at the front bottom corners of the range. To set the front feet turn the bases to raise or lower.

Anti-Tip Device

WARNING

Range must be secured by Anti-Tip bracket supplied. See instructions to install (supplied with bracket). Unless properly installed, the range could be tipped by leaning on the door. Injury might result from spilled hot liquids or from the range itself.

Installing the Anti-Tip Device

The Anti-Tip bracket is supplied with instructions for installation in a variety of locations. The instructions include all necessary information to complete the installation. Read the Safety Instructions and the instructions that fit your situation before beginning installation.

Gas Connection

Gas Supply Requirements

Provide Adequate Gas Supply

Prior to installation, ensure that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment of the appliance are compatible.

The range is designed to operate at a manifold pressure of 4'' of water column on natural gas. A conversion kit for LP gas (propane or butane) is supplied with the range. When converted to LP gas, a pressure of 10'' of water column is required.

Make sure you are supplying your range with the correct type of gas.

If the range is to be used on LP gas, a qualifi ed LP installer must convert it. We recommend that the range be converted before installation. This must be done before the range can be used on LP gas.

For proper operation, the pressure of natural gas supplied to the regulator must be between 41/2'' and 13'' of water column.
