Using Probes with an Agilent83491A
To compensate for a passive probe
1Connect the probe to the Input connector on the Agilent 83491A clock recovery
module.
2Attach the probe tip to the CAL hook that is located near the floppy disk drive.
3Press the reference receiver module’s front-panel channel SETUP key.
4Press Calibrate and then Calibrate probe.
To compensate an Agilent 54701A active probe
1Connect the Agilent 83491A output to the electrical measurement channel
input.
2Connect the probe to the Input connector on the Agilent 83491A clock recovery
module.
3Connect the probe power cable to the Probe Power connector on the reference
receiver module.
4Attach the probe tip to the CAL hook that is located near the floppy disk drive.
5Press the reference receiver module’s front-panel channel SETUP key.
6Press Calibrate and then Calibrate probe.
