How Does a Germicidal UV Lamp Work?

Germicidal ultraviolet lamps are used in both water and air purification. These lamps emit UV energy which breaks down organic matter and destroys the DNA of biological contaminants. The process is effective, cost-efficient and requires little maintenance.

Where is the Lamp and How Long Does it Last? The UV lamp is located inside the top section

of the unit above the filters. The average life span of a UV bulb is 10000 hours.
