THERM OSTA T & INDICAT OR LIGH T SEQUENC E

Whenever the therm ostat is turne d “ON,” the indi cator ligh t wil l indic ate the power ON/O FF conditi on of the heating cable, and conseque ntly, the cyc ling of the cabinet as it maintains the diale d cavity tempe ratu re. If this light doe s not illum inate after norma l start -up, the main power sou rce, thermostat, and /or indicator light must be che cke d.

If the warm ing cabin et does not hol d the temperature as dialed, the calib rat ion of the thermo stat mus t be checked. If the warm ing cabin et fai ls to heat or heats con tinuously with the thermos tat “OFF,” the thermo - stat must be initially check ed for proper operation.

If these item s are checked and fou nd to be in orde r, a con tinuity and res istance check of the heating cable should be mad e. SEE CIRCU IT DIAG RAM .

THERMOS TAT CALIBR ATION

The therm ost at is precision calibrated at the fact ory. Nor mally, no adju stm ent or rec alibr ation is neces sary unl ess the therm osta t has been mishand led in trans it, changed or abus ed while in serv ice. A thermos tat with a sen sing bulb operates on hydr aulic pres sur e, conseq uentl y, any bendi ng of the bulb resu lts in a change in its volume, and alter s the accu rac y of the therm ost at calibration.

A ther mosta t should be check ed or recal ibrated by placing a quality, thermal indicator at the cent er of an empty holding cavity. DO NOT CALI BRATE WITH ANY FOOD PRO DUCT IN THE CABINET. The therm ost at shou ld be set, and should be allow ed to stabilize at tha t setting for a minimum of one hour. The cente r of the therm al swing of the air tem- per ature within the cabinet should app roximately coincide with the thermostat settin g.

If calibra tion is neces sary, the calibr ation scr ew should be adjusted with great care. The cal ibration screw of the the rmosta t is located in the ther most at dia l shaft. With the sha ft held stationary, a min ute, cloc kwi se moti on of the calibration screw apprec ia- bly lowers the therm osta t setti ng. A revers e, or counter- clock wise moti on apprec iably rais es the therm ost at setti ng. Afte r achi eving the desir ed cycling of the therm osta t, the calibr ation screw must be sealed. Place a few drops of enamel sealant

dir ectl y on the calibra tion screw .
